She understands the importance of both the mental and physical aspects of the game and is committed to fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment for young players.
If your child has a desire to grow as a fast pitch softball player, she would be thrilled to help them on their journey. Let’s work together to unlock their potential and achieve their goals on the field.
Driven by a lifelong passion for fast pitch softball, Courtney’s journey began as a young girl in Weatherford, Texas and advanced to achieving a remarkable freshman year at Weatherford High School in 2000. As a starting varsity player, she was part of the team’s undefeated run to the state championship, where she was honored as the Most Valuable Player. Coach Nelson’s dedication and skill allowed her to start all four years on varsity, honing her abilities on the field.
Continuing her softball career, Courtney earned a scholarship to pitch for the St. Edward’s University Hilltoppers, where she proudly played for all four years. This experience at the collegiate level further deepened her understanding of the game and the dedication required to excel.
Beyond her playing days, she has embraced the opportunity to share her knowledge and love for softball by instructing players in infield, outfield, pitching, and hitting fundamentals. Coach Nelson finds immense satisfaction in helping young athletes develop their skills and reach their full potential.
